Just checking out the 2009 Coachella Line-up. No Bowie, No Springsteen, No Radiohead, No Madonna besides Mccartney no really big names.  I mean come on. The Killers to HEADLINE ? Their last time through Portland, they played the Roseland. I’m kind of blah on this year.

One thing about Coachella that really gets to me is rip-off factor around the whole event.

I was looking through the camping fees and they are charging $600 to $800 to rent

a 14 x14 foot tent for 3 days. WTF?  For the more budget minded they will rent you a

12 x 10 foot tent for $500 for the 3 days.  – If a hotel seems like a better option, think

again my friend, Stories of people booking all the nearby hotel rooms and then  selling

the reservation for 5 x times markup are common.

What recession? We’ll just rip off the concert goers, they will pay. Well maybe I will pay,

but I want something special and memorable, a once in a lifetime moment. Else I am just

a chump.

Enough of the rant, on second thought, they do have some bands I am very interested in seeing live.

Their 2nd tier bands are all 1st rate. Who would not want to see Leonard Cohen live?
